As we reset for the week ahead, I want you to pause.

For years, I treated my skin like a problem to be fixed. I thought the breakouts were a sign of failure. I looked in the mirror and picked apart every flaw.

But here is the truth I wish I knew then: You cannot heal a body you are constantly judging.

I wish I could go back and hug the woman I was in my 30s. 🤍

She was so tired. She was navigating early menopause and battling painful cystic acne, all while in the thick of Nursing School.

It felt like a cruel irony: I was spending every day learning how to heal the human body, yet I felt like I couldn’t fix my own.

I had endless grace for my patients, but absolutely none for myself.

I know it might seem like you’re waiting a little longer than everyone else. I know it might seem like you’re not making progress fast enough.

But I was reminded of this today: What if everything you’re going through right now is preparing you for everything you’ve been asking for?

What if you don’t have it yet because there are still parts of you that God is working on? There might be people He needs to remove. There might be strength He needs you to build.

He is ensuring that when you finally get the blessing, you are strong enough to keep it, value it, and steward it.

If it comes before you’re ready, you might lose it. But God loves you too much to let that happen.

So if you are in a season of waiting, don’t shrink back. Keep stretching. Keep growing. Keep being YOU. 💗

God promises to bring to pass every dream He has placed on your heart—in His perfect timing, not yours.

As a Registered Nurse and Aesthetician, I see this constantly. We live high-stress lives, and our skin takes the hit. High cortisol levels degrade collagen and impair your skin barrier function.
